Path to Excellence: Learn advanced techniques for creating impactful paintings, find fresh inspiration beyond conventional approaches, and discover how to refine plein air work in the studio.
- Painting Fast or Slow outdoors: Master methods for capturing the essence of a scene over extended painting sessions or with a quick interpretation.
- Personalized Critiques: Receive tailored feedback to refine technique and artistic vision.
- Backup Plan: Should the weather take a turn, there will be extended teaching about how to enjoyably painting studio landscapes from photography.
Pricing:
- General Admission: $350
- Deposit: A $100 deposit is required to hold your spot, with the balance due two weeks before the workshop starts. MAKE DEPOSIT HERE.

Day 1 - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Welcome and Lecture at Views Studio
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Lasater “Quick Painting” Demonstration and Sustained Painting (session 1) at Kayak Park
- 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Students Paint at Kayak Park
Day 2 - Saturday
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Convene at Views Studio, bring wet paintings in, head to location
- 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Lasater Demonstration
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
- 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Students Paint at Goforth Farm
- 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM: (Optional) Nocturne Follow-along Demonstration by Lasater at John Brown University
Day 3 - Sunday
- 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Convene at Views Studio, bring wet paintings in, head to location
- 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Students Paint at Kayak Park
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
- 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Lasater Sustained Painting Demonstration (Session 2)
- 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Return to Views Studio
- 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Final Critique and Touch-Up Demonstration.
