New Paintings
This Winter was a time to focus on figure painting. Even though I've
always been able to draw the figure, having a language for it was
another thing. Degas' strange poses, and Rodin's way of seeing the
figure in a crude but neo-romantic way inspired me.

BP Portrait Award
The painting "Weary Artist" of my friend Jason Sacran made it to the
top-100 of the BP Portrait Award, a prestigious international show in
London. 40 paintings are selected for the final show. Total entries
were around 2,400.

Amsterdam/Paris
Royal Talens is a brand that makes the oil paint I am fond of called
"Rembrandt". This February, I was given an all-expense-paid trip to the
Netherlands to visit the Royal Talens headquarters. Later this year, I
will be the featured artist of the month in an international campaign
and later, all twelve of the featured artists will have their work on
display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. You can read about my time in
